Things To Do

Brighton is such a special place and we are so excited for you to explore the area. The town of Brighton is centered around a picturesque ski resort, the first ski resort in Utah. It sits at 8,707ft elevation and has an average temperature in September of 62 degrees (high) and 37 degrees (low). The town itself is pretty small, with roughly 200 residents, and not many conveniences other than the great outdoors. If you're lucky, you might run into a moose so keep your eyes peeled! Make sure to bring your boots, hiking is the thing to do up at Brighton! Below are some recommendations for hikes and other opportunities to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Wasatch Mountains.

Lake Mary and Lake Catherine Hike

You definitely do not have to go all the way to Lake Catherine if you're looking for a shorter hike, make it to Lake Mary and you'll be satisfied :)

Silver Lake Hike

Guardsmans Pass Drive

This is an incredible road that links Big Cottonwood Canyon to Park City and Heber City. There are many places a long the way to pull off and take in the view. If we are lucky, the Aspens will be beginning to change colors during September!

Patsy Marley Loop Hike

This is a great hike if you're looking for a challenge! Once you get up to the ridge, you can look over into Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Silver Fork Lodge Restaurant

11332 S Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd This is one of the very few restaurants up Big Cottonwood Canyon. They do a great breakfast/brunch!

Park City, UT

Park City is about a 35 minute drive from Brighton and has all the shopping and food you could ask for. If you're looking to do something specific in Park City, let us know and we will try to get you some specific recommendations.
