For those of you who don't know, I am going to share a little love story. Our story. A story that I really only thought happened in movies but here I am sharing a love that was magical, coincidental, and explosive. Call me a romantic or a big cheeseball, but here it is. Eric and I met on an island off the western coast of Thailand, Koh Lanta. Eric had been there for about 6 weeks learning to become a dive instructor. I had been in Thailand for about 6 weeks as well learning to become a TEFL teacher. I had finished up my course and had a few months to spare before I started teaching, so I set off to do some solo-traveling around SE Asia. My second stop was to Koh Lanta, I traveled nearly 12 hours that day to get to the island and once I arrived, I was tired and hungry and ready for a good nights rest. Little did I know, I wasn't going to get that. That night, there was a party going on at a local dive bar right off the beach. Eric ventured up to the other side of the island (about 30 minutes from where he had been for the past 6 weeks) for the first time with a group of friends from the dive shop to go to the party. I had been convinced by a group of backpackers to go to the party. Once there, Eric and I both unknowingly had eyes on each other and towards the end of the night, his friend, Joy, decided to play wingman and bumped Eric into me. We started to chat but it was too loud in the bar and decided to take a walk to the beach and spent the next two hours chatting and learning about one another. The next 5-6 hours were a long series of events you'll have to grab us at the wedding to hear about but I think it's safe to say we both fell in love with each other that night. We spent the next 3 days spending as much time together as we could until we said goodbye with the realization that we might not see each other ever again. Well, the rest is history. We spent 2 years traveling overseas together. Now, we have our little love, Eddy Ray, and we're getting hitched!
