The Wedding Website of Morgan Munsen and Nick Munsen
Have questions? We've got answers!
Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP for our new date by August 9th so we can get an accurate headcount to the caterer and other vendors. Thanks!

Question

Do I need to RSVP again now that the date has been postponed?

Answer

Yes -- regardless of whether or not you previously RSVPed for our original date, you will need to RSVP for this new date.

Question

What COVID-related restrictions will be in place?

Answer

We are under the assumption that almost all of our invited guests will have already taken advantage of the great blessing that is the COVID-19 vaccine(s) and are well protected against even the Delta variant. However, for those we have invited who remain unvaccinated for whatever reason (ages 12+), we will have to implement different safety measures given the much larger risk you face. You are welcome to attend our vow renewal ceremony so long as you remain masked the entire time and stay 6 feet away from other guests, but, due to the logistics of eating and drinking at our indoor reception (which would require removing masks), we will not be able to safely host you for the reception. Given all of the above, there will be no need to require our vaccinated guests to wear masks nor will we be implementing social distancing or other measures. We, of course, *always* welcome our vaccinated guests to choose to wear a mask at any time if that increases their sense of safety and well-being.

Question

Are kids invited? Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Each invitation should include the names of each person invited in a family, and any plus ones that have been designated. If you are unsure, feel free to reach out and ask. But please know that if your kids are not invited, it doesn't mean we don't love them! For children under 12, severe illness due to COVID is uncommon, and so we leave attendance at the reception up to the discretion of their caretakers.

Question

Who should I contact with questions before the wedding weekend?

Answer

You can contact Morgan and Nick at mnmwed2020@gmail.com or shoot them a text!

Question

Who should I contact with questions during the wedding weekend?

Answer

Any questions can be routed through the mothers of the bride and groom.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Here! (On Zola)

Question

I have a dietary restriction/food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please note all allergies and dietary restrictions in the designated field in your online RSVP. The catering for the reception will be entirely vegetarian and other requests will be accommodated as requested. We want everyone to be able to break bread with us in the way that is right for them :)

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The liturgy starts at 4pm, but our amazing choir will be providing many musical preludes starting at 3:45pm. We suggest guests aim to arrive at 3:30 to have time to take their seats and catch up with relatives and friends before the music starts at 3:45pm.

Question

What do I do during the wedding liturgy if I’m not Catholic (or even religious)?

Answer

While we are celebrating the sacrament of marriage within our Catholic tradition and that may be unfamiliar to some, we absolutely want you to feel at home and welcome during the liturgy! Our printed liturgy program will provide detailed guidance throughout the ceremony and you should feel free to partake in our traditions as you feel comfortable. During communion, when Catholics will come up to the altar to receive the Body and Blood of Christ, any non-Catholics are invited to either (1) come forward for a blessing or (2) remain seated.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we don’t love the idea of a “dress code” (because we’d never kick anyone out for what they’re wearing), we know it helps to have an idea of what to dress for. So we’ll go with semi-formal, but our only true request is that you be intentional and respectful about what you wear in the church. For the reception, make sure to wear shoes you can dance in, because Nick and Morgan have plenty of dancing planned!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available in the lots behind and kitty-corner from the church, as well as some limited street parking. Carpooling is always great though! #sustainability

Question

Is there parking at the reception?

Answer

Yes! Abundant parking is available around the left side of the Lodge -- please do NOT park at the front of the lodge. The front doors will be locked, so it's in your best interests to go around to the left and park near the door to the ballroom.

Question

How can I get to and from the ceremony and reception?

Answer

South Bend is a smaller city, so nothing is ever too far away! We recommend sharing a taxi/Uber/Lyft with friends or finding someone who drove in to carpool with.

Question

What will the weather be like in South Bend this time of year?

Answer

While the church and the reception hall will have air conditioning, it will still be the end of summer here in South Bend so we recommend dressing in a way that will keep you cool.

Question

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes — find the details in the “Travel” section of the website.
