Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Color Scheme: Mainly Tiffany blue, white marble, and gold; with hints of coraly-orange, some taupes, and naturally added summer foliage & green hues. Obviously, no wearing white!

Question

What is the color scheme?

Answer

See our banner on this page! We’ve compiled some swatches that surround our main colors: Tiffany blue, gold, white marble (yes we know this is a textile and not a color - blame the bride, lol), with hints of orangey-coral hues and taupe to tie it all together.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

For now, we are only registered here on Zola, as we don't have a lot of necessary needs for our home, honestly. We are looking for contributions for experiences (like our honeymoon!), so if you'd like, there are funds for those events that we added to our Registry page.

Question

Where is the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Loft Lucia, Chicago (above Monteverde restaurant) 7 N Carpenter St., Chicago, IL, 60607 Ceremony - 4th floor Reception - 3rd floor

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

While there are parking garages around and street parking in front of the venue, there isn't a designated parking lot that the venue owns. This makes it especially important that you adjust your travel time to allow for parking! Luckily, the ceremony and reception are both at the same place, so once you park for the night, you're parked there until you head home (or back to the hotel)! You can find more info about parking on our Travel page.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

See our Travel page for all info on where to stay - and how to get there!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately, the venue does not have a partnership with any nearby hotels to set up a shuttle service. We ask that you accommodate your transportation as needed as each guest's situation for transportation varies so widely (oftentimes on holidays, rideshare services like Lyft offer FREE rides to reduce drinking & driving, so we highly recommend you look into that as well!). Thank you for understanding!

Question

Where will wedding updates be posted?

Answer

All right here! We'll be adding things like posts, updates, and information surrounding the wedding to the Home page at the bottom (and maybe our banner across the top!). Be sure to check back frequently, especially as we approach the big day.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have limited space for the venue, so, if we allotted space for you and a plus one, they should be accounted for on your invitation already. If you plan on bringing someone you don't see on your invitation, or we incorrectly listed your plus one, please reach out to the bride or groom ASAP!

Question

Where should I sit?

Answer

For the ceremony, we will have the first two rows of the bride and groom seats to be reserved for the closest family members. Beyond that, sit where you like! You are loved by bride *and* groom. For the reception, we will have a beautifully crafted (by the bride and bridesmaids themselves!) seating chart for you to find the table you'll be at. You can pick your own seat at your table.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We are looking to serve our food buffet-style to make the night much easier and worry-free for our staff and guests. If you have an allergy you'd like to bring to our attention, please let us know as soon as possible so we can work with our chef to come up with a solution to make you a (safe) tasty meal!

Question

When do we eat?

Answer

The question on everyone's mind. Small plates will be passed during cocktail hour from about 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm, and dinner is expected to start around 6:15 to 6:30 pm, depending on speeches.

Question

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

Yes! We have found a great vendor that will offer open bar during certain hours of the event (bar to be closed during dinner). Champagne will be served for a toast at dinner. The bar will open again shortly after dinner ends. Please note due to liquor licensing of the venue, shots will NOT be poured, nor will on the rocks or neat pours. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

When do I go home?

Answer

The party ends at 11:00 pm (but the afterparty awaits in the city!).

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone in attendance, based on our guest count limits and the venue itself, we have decided to do an adults only event (except the few kids of the bridal party). We hope to see everyone there dancing the night away with us!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

YES! It's July 4th weekend, so along with plenty of buzz downtown, it's a great opportunity to explore some unique events, specials, and attractions. Beyond the holiday fun, we've curated a list of hidden gems in the Fulton Market that are well worth a try on our Things To Do page!
