Question

Where can I get a Covid Rapid Test on Long Island?

Answer

The closest location for a walk-in, no appointment needed Rapid Antigen Test is CityMD in Sayville, about 12 minutes from the hotel. No appointment required. Reference not required. Testing for all patients. And most insurances pay for the tests, but if you have any questions call your insurance company. Question

What health and safety precautions are you taking in light of Covid?

Answer

Masks will be required at all times, except when eating. Our guest count is being reduced to 150 attendees. We'll be seating 10 people or less to tables which are sized to seat 14, and tables will be spaced at least 6 feet apart. All guests must provide either proof of vaccination or proof of a negative Covid test to gain entrance to the reception venue. There will be no pass food or drink during cocktail hour, and self-serve options will be limited. Instead, food will be provided at a number of serving tables, and drinks will be available at multiple bars during cocktail hour and throughout the event. We/the reception venue will collect contact tracing paperwork from all guests and vendors prior to arrival at the venue.

Question

If I'm vaccinated, do I need to get a Covid test?

Answer

If you receive your final shot prior to April 24, plan to bring a copy of your Vaccination Record Card (original/copy/photo/etc) or proof of vaccination email. If you receive your final shot after April 24 (within 2 weeks of the event), plan to get tested, as it typically takes two weeks post-vaccination for the body to build its immune response against the virus that causes Covid-19.

Question

If I'm not vaccinated, when and how should I get tested?

Answer

For folks who have not been vaccinated, you can take EITHER a diagnostic PCR test OR a rapid antigen test. Diagnostic PCR tests should be completed no earlier than three days prior to the event. Negative tests completed prior to Wednesday May 5, will not be accepted. Rapid Antigen tests should be completed no earlier than six hours prior to the event. Negative tests completed prior to Saturday May 8, 1:00 PM will not be accepted. As a rule, we would recommend the diagnostic PCR test, as it's less likely to provide a false positive result. Note that you should plan to get this test no later than Thursday, as it will take multiple days for you to receive your results. Additionally, we request that anyone that is flying to attend the event complete their testing after their flight if possible.

Question

I booked a hotel room for April 2020. Do I need to re-book?

Answer

Hotel rooms should have been cancelled and refunded for our April 2020 date. You will need to re-book for our new May 2021 date. More information and the link to reserve a room is on our Travel page. You can use the link or call the hotel directly to book your room. If you booked previously, we recommend calling the hotel to confirm the status of your reservation. Hotel reservations should be made prior to April 28, 2021, two weeks prior to the event. After that, our discounted group rate expires.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

No, there is not a shuttle between the hotel and the church for the ceremony.

Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel and the reception?

Answer

Yes! We'll have shuttles operating between the Hilton Garden Inn and Land's End. Check the Travel page for more information.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids. We really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Your beautiful babies will be fine at home as you celebrate our special day.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please see the schedule page for the attire for each event.
