BEAUTIFUL HEDONISTS: Go to Shakespeare's Pizza on Ninth Street ("Beet Box" OR "Ozark Mountain Biscuit and Bar" are also great), then head to Logboat Brewery for a couple Snappers.
HOT BODDERS: Hit Sumit Hot Yoga or Yoga Sol and then nosh on fresh, organic deliciousness at Nourish Café.
HISTORY BUFFS: Head to Goldie's for a delicious bagel n' schmear OR grab a grubby burger at the oldest pool hall in Columbia, "Booches" (est. 1884), then stroll through Mizzou's historic Quad.
TREE LOVERS: Head to Rockbridge State Park (halfway between Jeff City and Columbia) for a li'l hike on your way in to Jefferson City. Pierpont General Store (nearby) is great for a quick brewski (and they usually have live music in the summer months). It's been around since 1889.
HUNGOVER AF? Hit Café Berlin to brunch like you mean it. FUN FACT: they have great vegetarian/vegan options. "Acola" is a cool coffee spot nearby where you can chill and wait for your table to be ready (aaaaaaand they even have food options: bring me that avocado toast)!
GOLFERS: If you're staying in Columbia Friday night, hit "L.A. Nickell" or "A.L. Gustin" to play a quick 9 holes Saturday morn. Or if you're staying in Jefferson City, check out "Oak Hills Golf Center" or nearby "Eagle Knoll Golf Club" in Hartsburg.
GOT KIDDOS? Have a li'l pool party at Memorial Pool, then do a picnic in the park OR grab some 'za at "West Main Pizza". Another fave pizza joint in JC, MO? "Pizza Underground"!
NATURE LOVERS: Grab an iced coffee and hit the trails at the local conservation department (trails are easy/paved, but pretty--also great for kiddos). Our fave coffee spot in town? "Three Story Coffee" on 311 Bolivar Street.
SAMPLER PLATTER DAY: Get super zen at 11:11 Yoga, then have breakfast or brunch at "High Rise Bakery". FUN FACT: this is where David and I had our very first date! Round out the day with a trip to "Central Dairy Ice Cream Parlor" (est. 1920). It's also a place I made David go when we were first started dating to play board games (which I brought). Sorrrrrry! <--that was the game.
