Mike tells the story best, but needless to say it was an epic night. We're both thankful we have a photo that captured the night! Be sure to check it out under the Photos page of the website. We met at a Road Trip concert in Auburndale. From what I remember, I was near the stage with Tanya and Erin. Brown and Mike were back further and I remember turning around and locking eyes with him and b-lined right to Mike. I didn't expect to see him again, so I was surprised the next day when I logged into Facebook and saw that we were friends. But a happy surprise!
We finally became exclusive after Mike said "I love you" for the first time at Rock USA (RUSA). I had been waiting for those three words for what felt like forever so I made him say it over and over for the next two days!
Many of you know what a huge life change this was for the both of us, but it has been nothing but wonderful and we love waking up next to each other.
Well, there was a first promise ring, but after a weekend of camping in July 2020 I unfortunately lost it! Mike got me a second for Christmas later that year complete with instructions on how not not lose this one, and I still have it!
Of course we have the girls, but getting a puppy is whole new type of parenting and relationship-builder!
Since we met at a Road Trip concert almost 10 years before, Mike's proposal was very fitting. As we were rocking out to our favorite band, I realized Mike was not behind me as the lead singer said his name. Now that got my attention so I looked at the stage as Mike appeared from the back to announce he had a question to ask. My eyes started to water as I realized the question was for me and this was the moment I had waited years for. I joined him on stage as he got down on one knee and asked to marry me. I couldn’t even talk so I just shook my head yes as I looked down at Mike in awe. I fall in love with him everyday and I can’t wait to spend forever and a day with him!
