Many of you have asked us if we are registered, and to tell you the truth, we really have everything we need! We actually have two of most things, so please just come and celebrate with us! All we really want is for you to come with a happy and joyful heart! But some of you are feisty (love it!) and keep asking, so below are links to three ministries we hold dear. We are blessed to have many friends in ministry, so these are just three that we felt led to let you know about, in case you would like to donate on our behalf. If you would rather go the traditional route, a gift card to one of our favorite places is another option: We love date nights at Bourbon Brothers and Colorado Mountain Brewery in Colorado Springs. We like to camp and buy supplies at Bass Pro Shops, and go to target practice at Magnum. (There is a link on the "Things to Do" page). We order all of our groceries and have them delivered by WalMart. And, like everyone else during COVID, we shop on Amazon too much.

Lakewood Connects
If you would like to donate on our behalf to Lakewood Connects, run by our dear friends Reg and Amy Cox, please visit this link, and read about how they pull together people from business, government, education, and the broad church community, in the Lakewood, Colorado area. They provide clothes, food, shelter, prayer, and love to those in need, expressing the love of Christ in very real and tangible ways. Just an example, we were able to go to a meeting where about 30 very diverse people in Lakewood brainstormed about how they could give. There was a priest, a rabbi, and a minister there, and it wasn't the start of a joke!! We sat next to the mayor and his wife as they talked about giving books to children unable to afford them. The priest, the rabbi, and the minister, all brainstormed how they could help! It was beautiful!
Paraclete Missions - Sonia Nelson
Sonia Nelson is a very dear friend and a fellow Mental Health Counselor and Missionary with Paraclete Missions. Sonia goes on mission trips to various war-torn countries and counsels the missionaries working on the front lines, who are helping those in need and spreading the Gospel. Sonia then counsels the mission workers for free, giving them ongoing emotional support via tele therapy. A personal note: I (Lisa) met Sonia my last year at Denver Seminary. She is one of those people so filled with kindness and strength all rolled into one, that it's impossible not to like her. She is a wonderful counselor, and instead of using her gifts for her own gain, she gives them freely. And because she is so strong, she rarely asks for help. She won't be able to come to the celebration because her and her wonderful husband Mike, who is also a dear friend are off helping someone somewhere that weekend.
Mary's Home / Dream Centers
Mary's Home is an organization built by New Life Church, and is very dear to us. Dream Centers provides a home, health care, and safety to homeless single mothers. Their goal is to end generational poverty, homelessness, and abuse in the Pikes Peak Region, and equip and empower every woman walking through their doors. Together, we (Chris and Lisa) serve weekly at Mary's Home by teaching a courses on Identity, Trauma, and Healthy Relationships. We are blessed to use our training to help the women heal from trauma and suffering and help them believe they are loved and worthy of love. Mary's home works to give these families real support, apartments to live in, and classes to teach a myriad of life skills. Most go on to higher training and higher education, ending the cycle of generational poverty and abuse. We (Chris and Lisa) are blessed to be a part of supporting this ministry.
