Visit this local eatery for seasonal fare from the bountiful Skagit Valley and the Anacortes Farmer’s Market. They source menu items from local farmers, fisherman and foragers whenever possible to bring the freshest, made to order flavors to your palate.
Enjoy your local roast over some good books - best spot in town!
For those of you with extended stays in the area or late departures on Sunday, we recommend taking advantage of a local whale watching tour departing from Anacortes. The calm waters near the San Juan Islands are one of the best places in the world to view wild orcas. Humpback whales, minke whales, and gray whales also call the region home. Book 30-days in advance for a special discount on tickets - details on their website.
There are a number of local parks and hiking trails in the area. A top attraction is Deception Pass State Park, with a variety of hiking trails and breathtaking vistas. Closer to Anacortes, we also recommend Cap Sante Park for an easy walking trail with excellent 360 views of the marina and Padilla Bay. Additional parks and trails nearby include the Washington Park with views of the San Juan Islands and Mount Erie Park for scenic trails and mountain views.
If you have time, we recommend a drive through the town of Bow - a small bend in the road with delicious food and boutique shops. Visit the Tweets Cafe for coffee and brunch - yum yum! You'll also find several shops with locally made goods and art. While you're at it, pick up some bread and sweets from the local Bread Farm Bakery as a delicious souvenir.
