We know - that's not quite how the saying goes. But on an October evening in Lisbon, just as the sun was setting over the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge, Daniel got down on one knee and started this magical journey. In his hands was his grandmother's engagement ring, designed by his grandfather almost 60 years ago. And oh what a gem it is! For the next 10 days, we marveled at how far we had come from that night in January 2017 when we met as strangers in a San Francisco bar, and we dreamed about our future together over the Atlas Mountains and Sahara desert in Morocco. It doesn't get more magical than that!
