THINGS TO DO

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest! Portland offers a wide array of options for whatever you're in the mood for. These are just a few of our favorite spots and what we think is worth a visit. If you want more recs, just ask, we love sharing our Portland favorites!

Powell's Books on Hawthorne

3723 Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard, Portland, OR 97214

A book reader's dream store. This bookshop is the world's largest independent new and used bookstore (at least according to them). We've spent multiple hours here and we wouldn't be surprised if you do the same.

Music Millennium

3158 East Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97214

One of the first record shops we went to together. Great selection of new and used records. We could spend hours going through crates of vinyls (and trust me, we have).

Trillium Lake

Trillium Lake Road, Government Camp, OR 97028

If you want to get out of the city and into the mountains, this lake is the perfect destination for you. Mt. Hood in general is gorgeous but wouldn't you want to paddle board with the mountain as your backdrop? I mean, think of the pictures!

Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area

Corbett, OR

There’s so many great spots along the Columbia River Gorge including Multnomah Falls (tallest waterfall in Oregon) and plenty of hiking trails (including Angel’s Rest and Eagle Creek). We recommend checking it out if you find the time!

Queen of Sheba Restaurant

2413 Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Portland, OR 97208

This is the restaurant where Omar first fell in love with Ethiopian food. Eating Ethiopian food has become the way we choose to celebrate big events together. If you've never tried it before, this might be the time to learn why we love it so much.

Screen Door Pearl District

1131 Northwest Couch Street, Portland, OR 97209

Our go to brunch spot! The Chicken and Waffles are a MUST try!

Hey Love

920 East Burnside Street, Portland, OR 97214

This is a very cute bar that has incredible cocktails and an amazing vibe!

Midtown Beer Garden

431 SW Harvey Milk St, Portland, OR 97204

Honestly, you can't go wrong with any food cart spot in Portland. Odds are, you'll probably run into a food cart in every other corner of the city. Here, you can find multiple food carts centrally located to give you that real Portland experience.

Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House

210 Northwest 11th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209

Portland is recognized internationally as one of the world's best beer cities. With over 80 breweries, you really cant go wrong when choosing where to drink. This brewery has become one of our favorites, specifically for the atmosphere and wide variety of options on tap. To get the full experience get a flight and discover which Portland beer is your favorite.
