Browns Creek Falls
6 mile moderate hike surrounded by 3 “14ers” (peaks taller than 14,000 feet) to a gorgeous waterfall. 22 miles/30 minutes from downtown Salida. Worth the trek!
Harvard Lakes trailhead
5 miles with views of Mount Columbia and alpine lakes. 34 miles/40 minutes from downtown Salida. Morgan + Scott hiked this while venue-hunting!
Monarch Pass
Scenic drive, sweeping views of the aspen leaves, a gondola ride, and easy trails above 12,000 ft. 23 miles/30 minutes from downtown Salida.
Mount Princeton Hot Springs

One of 4 national parks in Colorado. Massive sand dunes you can hike, sled, or just marvel at. 89 miles/1.5 hours from downtown Salida. Totally worth it!
