You have questions, we have answers!

The Wedding Website of Morgan Michael and Joshua Singletary
Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 4:30 pm Mountain Standard Time. Please plan on arriving at our venue by 4:00 pm at the latest. You are welcome to arrive as early as 3:30 pm to check out the beautiful scenery and find your seats. You should be seated for the ceremony by 4:15 pm. Please note there is a little bit of a walk from the parking lot to the venue involving stairs.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We are suggesting semi-formal/cocktail attire for our big day! Please no denim or hats. Jackets and ties are optional. We want everyone to be comfortable, but also embrace the opportunity to dress your best! We again will reiterate that the ceremony will be outdoors and it’s October in the mountains, so please wear a warm outer layer. Ladies, also be aware that there will be some uneven terrain, so keep that in mind when selecting your shoes. If you’re having a hard time deciding on a color to wear, we suggest anything in autumn earthy/jewel tones.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your date wasn’t listed by name on your invitation or on the website when you RSVP’ed, then unfortunately no. Our venue only seats 150 people, so you can imagine how difficult it was for us to narrow down our loved ones to fit that requirement. If you think your date was overlooked, please shoot Morgan a text at (620) 238-1555.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, of course! Please text Morgan at 620-238-1555 ASAP so she can get the accommodation made with the caterer. Vegetarians, please select that option when you RSVP.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 20th at the latest. This will help us immensely to finalize everything with our caterer and the venue.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No. If you’re staying at offsite lodging, you will be responsible for getting yourself there after the reception. Please remember that one drink at sea level is two drinks at 9,000 feet elevation.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We will have beer, wine, and two signature cocktails for you to enjoy! Please keep in mind that due to the altitude, you will feel the effects of the drinks faster. Our venue is at 9,000 feet elevation, so even for those from Denver, this is a big elevation change. Please be respectful.

Question

Any advice for the high altitude?

Answer

Yes! Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and resting when needed. Take your time on the paths and going up stairs. The bride is an RN and the groom an EMT, but we will both be off duty on our wedding day. In all seriousness, if you start to feel nauseous or lightheaded, please find a seat and let someone from the wedding party know. We will have oxygen bottles and nausea medicine available for anyone with altitude sickness.

Question

Is the venue smoking friendly?

Answer

No! The venue doesn’t allow smoking of any kind on the property. We will likely be in high wildfire warning up in the mountains, so no matter if you’re off venue property or not, please respect the risk smoking poses to the forests and wildlife around us.

Question

Can I pet the deer?

Answer

Our venue has a herd of mule deer that calls the property home! While these sweet critters are very curious and seem friendly, for their sake and yours, please keep a safe distance of at least 15 feet from all the wildlife.
