“John and I met our freshmen year or high school (2001) in Oklahoma history, we were asked to partner up for an assignment and John and I were the last two without a partner, he turned and looked at me and I simply nodded. Little did I know that he was going to be one of my best friends thru high school! We got into a lot of trouble in school, mostly from playing football at lunch and then ducking thru the parking lot to avoid the assistant principals! John is the most consistent person I know, he is unapologetically himself and that’s why I still call him my friend! Hopefully Morgan can keep up and teach him a few things along the way, like to wait at least 5 minutes before you put a pizza roll in your mouth when they just came out of the oven!”

"When I first met John, I believe I was at Jeremy's house and we played games together. I knew right off the start we’d be good friends because he was wearing a dragon ball Z shirt lol. After that, I continued to see more and more of John because I was really good friends with his brother, Jeremy. After a few years, we’d end up becoming roommates. It was at that time that John and I became really good friends. John is one of the most responsible, honest, and perfect friends that you could ever ask for. The one memory I have of John that stands out is one night I was feeling really sick and depressed about things. John came into my room and gave me a pep talk and just hung out with me for the rest of the night. He’s by far one of my best friends, and I wouldn’t trade the memories we had together for anything."
