We met on the dating app Hinge, and our first date was January 14, 2022. We met at the Villa coffee shop and ended up spending three hours at the table just talking. There was instant connection and we realized that both growing up in Idaho Falls, we ran in very similar circles - just on opposite sides of town. A forbidden love between Skyline High School and Idaho Falls High School! We stayed in close contact immediately after, texting each other memes and discussing the hot debates of our mutually loved movies and TV shows. Less than three weeks later, Morgan was helping to set up for the black tie charity gala for the Idaho Heart Foundation and bemoaning over text how there wasn't any good coffee around the Shoshone-Bannock Hotel. Eli showed up less than an hour later with her favorite Dutch Bros drink and jumped in to help with setup without question. For nearly six hours! And when the gala was ready to begin, he just so happened to have a tuxedo in the back of his car... so he was invited to stay for the rest of the night.
