What should I wear?

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, with the exception of immediate family, we have decided to limit our ceremony and reception to adults only.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please see your invitation for information on whether a plus one is included. We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

How do we get to Hawthorn Estates?

Answer

When travelling from Winnipeg - - Take Highway 59 N - Exit right on Highway 44 E and drive 11 km - Turn north at the second Garson exit on Road 33 E (watch for sign) and drive approximately 5 km - Hawthorn Estates is the second driveway on your left after crossing the third mile road

Hawthorn Estates has a large, free parking lot at the entrance to the venue.

Are the ceremony and reception indoors?

Answer

Pending weather, we are planning on an outdoor ceremony, followed by an indoor cocktail hour and reception. In the event of rain, there is an indoor location at Hawthorn Estates that will be used for our ceremony. Please visit https://www.hawthornestates.ca for more information about our venue.

Are the ceremony and reception wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, there are no stairs required to access our ceremony site and the main room of our reception. All bathrooms (including one handicap bathroom) are located on the main floor of Hawthorn Estates.

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will be having an "unplugged ceremony," so please refrain from using your phones or taking photographs during our ceremony. Our photographer and videographer will be hard at work capturing memories of this special moment. However, you are welcome to take as many photos as you like prior to the ceremony, as well as during cocktail hour and reception. We will be sharing a link for you to upload any photos closer to the wedding.
