Smith Rock State Park

This is the place we got engaged. It's a beautiful place to visit for views. There's also a 4 mile hike to the top to get the ultimate views of the park. This place is known for rock climbing and hiking. Kid friendly and no fee to enter, only to park!

Pilot Butte

A quick 1 mile hike that is the best view of the city of Bend. You have views of all the surrounding mountains. Pro tip - go for sunset to see the sun reflection off all the mountains

Bend Whitewater Park

This is a unique place to bend. There's an artificial wave where people surf all the time. It's part of the Deschutes river and near Old Mill which is another great area to walk around, shop, and visit.

Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort

13000 SW Century Drive, Bend, OR 97702

Although it's too early to ski, Mt Bachelor is a beautiful mountain to see while you're in Bend. It's about a 30 minute drive! There are chair lift rides, hiking, zip lining, and great views of the mountain.

Tumalo Falls

This is an incredible hike to see the Tumalo water falls (97 foot). It's 6.4 miles and takes around 2.5-3 hours.

High Desert Museum

Hands-on, kid-friendly museum showcasing the natural & cultural history of Eastern Oregon. This museum offers a variety of live animals, including otters, birds of prey, and a bobcat, as well as interactive exhibits, a raptor show, and a cafe. They highlight the educational and engaging experience, suitable for all ages, and the beautiful grounds with indoor and outdoor exhibits. They also like the friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers.
