It all started with a couple of right swipes on a Christian dating app called Upward — and just like that, God began writing a love story that neither of us could have imagined. Brent asked Ashley out for coffee at the Amsden Coffee Club in charming little Versailles, Kentucky. From that very first date, it was clear that something special was unfolding. As our relationship grew, we saw God’s faithfulness again and again, guiding each step and drawing us closer — to Him and to each other. Over time, we built a relationship filled with laughter, prayer, and lots of quality time — whether that was walking around the neighborhood, training for races (yes, really!), rock climbing, grabbing dinner at local spots, or spending sweet time with our families and church community at Porter. Then came July 12th. On a warm summer day in Louisville, on the Big Four Bridge with the river flowing below, Brent got down on one knee — and Ashley said “yes!” Throughout dating and engagement, we’ve learned how to love, encourage, and support one another in a way that honors Christ. Now, we’re so excited to step into this next chapter as husband and wife, trusting God with every step of the journey. We’re incredibly thankful for the friends and family who have cheered us on with love, prayer, and support — and we can’t wait to celebrate with you in Wilmore, Kentucky!
