4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We love costuming and dressing up. Our theme is Fantasy and we would love to look out at all your beautiful faces and see a cornucopia of mermaids, warlocks, faeries, satyrs, witches, vampires, elves, dragons, ents... Fairy tale adventurers of all types are highly encouraged but if that isn't your jam, keep it classy. In any case, please be colorful. (See Attire Inspiration tab for visuals.)
There will be an hour between the conclusion of the ceremony and the start of the reception during which we invite you to explore the natural beauty of the Queens Botanical Garden, including the rose garden, herb garden, and apiary - or feel free to gawp at us as we take obligatory album photos. Please take your own shots amongst the greenery and share them with us! Light refreshments will be available on the Terrace. A note to parents of infants and small children: If Monica hears a crying baby during the ceremony she will involuntarily mutate into her kaiju monster form and lay waste to Flushing. We suggest you take any children who might get fussy for a walk around the grounds while the ceremony is ongoing. Parking is complimentary, just mention you are attending our wedding. The parking entrance is on Crommelin Street, between Blossom Avenue and Dahlia Avenue. On foot, the pedestrian entrance is at the corner of Main Street and Elder Avenue. The gateway is pretty spectacular.
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Same attire suggestion as above.
Please do not take the centerpieces; we need to use them again in Texas! However, should any strike your fancy we would be happy to earmark them for you.
