Flight
You will want to fly into the Liberia, Costa Rica airport, or LIR, which is approximately 45 minutes away from the resort and wedding venue in Playa Conchal. Passports will be required for entry into Costa Rica. The hotel block at the resort is reserved for Wednesday to Sunday and check in begins at 3 pm, but please arrive at your leisure. We look forward to seeing you when you arrive! *TIPS* Liberia International Airport is officially named, Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport—, and also known as Guanacaste Airport. Don't let this confuse you. These are all the same airport. Do not book flights to Liberia, Africa by mistake.
Rental Car
We have arranged a discount with a company called RideON for all guests to shuttle from the airport to their chosen accommodations! Mention that you are traveling to Nathan and Briana's wedding and this shuttle company will coordinate a shared ride with other wedding guests at $25 per person one-way. If you'd like to choose a private shuttle, the cost will be $135 for 4 passengers. You can reach the shuttle company by calling +506 8582 3557 or emailing info@rideontransfers.com. These rates will apply for your whole trip, whenever you decide to arrive and depart. *TIP* You can also book an uber ride from the airport which will cost about $100 in a sedan.
Hotel
The Westin will be the epicenter for all the weekend's activities, and we welcome you to join us there. It is a 2,300 acre property that offers luxury in an idyllic natural setting, with a 98-acre wildlife refuge and a range of biodiverse ecosystems, exotic animal species, and vegetation. This is an all-inclusive resort, which means that food, drinks, 24-hour room service, resort activites and much more are included in your stay. (You can find exclusions on the website, such as golfing greens fees and some motorized sporting activities.) To make your stay as seamless as possible, we’ve secured a special room block for all our guests at a discounted rate. Please note a few important details: The hotel block that has been reserved from Wednesday, May 7th to Sunday May 11th, however you can change the dates to suit your preference up to 3 days before and after the room block. House Or Rental
Below you will find some information and links that may be helpful if you are wanting to consider other lodging options. One alternative lodging option is to rent a house in the Reserva Conchal, which is a gated community within walking distance to The Westin Resort. It will make for easy access to all of the weekend's festivities. Guests can coordinate to share a condo or house through Airbnb or any other vacation rental platform. A second alternate hotel option is called The W Costa Rica - Reserva Conchal, which is a luxury hotel that shares grounds with the The Westin. Most of the Brasilito hotels' are a ~3-10 minute car ride away from wedding events. There is also a trail along the beach that would be about a 15 minute walk. Playa Flamingo is the biggest beach town nearby and will have a wide variety of hotel and rental options for guests.
