Briana and Nathan's relationship began as a secret office romance within the cubicle walls of the Academy Sports and Outdoors' headquarters in Katy, TX. They first met while throwing gutter balls at adjoining bowling lanes during the Annual Christmas Party hosted at an arcade. The chemistry between them was instant, and they spent the evening dueling in endless rounds of laser tag and competing for the highest score in Ms. Pac-Man, all under a two ticket drink limit. At the end of the night they said their goodbyes and shyly agreed "we should hang out sometime". Briana subtly placed her phone out where Nathan could see it, but he didn't pick up on the hint. So she pushed tradition aside and asked Nathan for his phone number...and so the good times began!

Valentine's day fell on a Tuesday in 2023, so after a long day of work Briana was looking forward to a lazy night of hanging out and relaxing with Nathan. She had no expectations other than a "Happy Valentine's Day" at the door and a welcome home kiss. MAYBE a bouquet of flowers would admittedly be a nice surprise, but certainly wasn't her expectation. Well, Nathan on the other hand, had an entirely different evening in mind when he came home wearing a button-up shirt, carrying fresh flowers, and the ingredients for a steak dinner. He straightened up the house, worked on dinner, and nervously waited for Briana's arrival. As she opened the front door and saw the flowers and dinner underway, Briana was pleasantly surprised but totally unsuspicious, changing into her pajamas for the evening and encouraging Nathan to do the same. So while they were sitting on the couch in pajamas with bellies full of steak cooked to perfection, he asked her to marry him. Her answer was a starstruck YES, which leads us here today.
