Uber, Lyft, taxis, etc. are ubiquitous in D.C. Alternatively, the D.C. Metro is an extensive underground subway connecting all parts of the city. If you fly into Dulles International Airport, take the Silver Line towards Largo Town Center and get off at McPherson Square (The Hay-Adams is 2 blocks away). If you fly into Reagan National Airport, take the Yellow Line towards Greenbelt, transfer to the Orange Line towards Vienna at L'Enfant Plaza and get off the Orange Line at McPherson Square. Here is the Metro Map: https://www.wmata.com/schedules/maps/upload/Spring_2021_System_Screen_Map_V1d-2.pdf
The Hay-Adams has valet overnight parking for $62/day or valet event parking for $32/car.
Museums are free but with COVID-19 precautions, timed tickets are required. Tickets can be reserved at each museum's website starting one month in advance, so if you are looking to sightsee on Saturday, September 18 we recommend going online to reserve your spot on August 18. Because tickets are timed entry, typically a line starts to form as the day progresses; our recommendation is to take advantage of staying in the city and reserve early timeslots to get into the museums before those tourists traveling in from other states. We can't wait to hear about what you see over cocktails on Saturday night!
