Susan Barkorous

Maid of Honor

Roughing it in the dangerous hallways of high school, Molly and Susan become best friends sophomore year. When Molly wasn't at the barn or at horse shows on weekends and summer break, she could be found by Susan's side and whoever Susan was hanging out with at the time. Despite the awkward years of high school, the two remain just as close today as 17 years ago (even with the entire country in between them). Since Martin knew Susan couldn't keep a secret to save her life, she was among the crowd who received the "I'm engaged!" call along with most of our family and friends. Fun fact: Susan was the first person Molly hiked Horsetooth trail with, which is where Martin proposed.

Lindsey Weber

Maid of Honor

One day a very tall girl walked into Molly's dorm room, sat down on her roommate's bed and started to watch an awful MTV show with her. She introduced herself as Lindsey and started making awkward conversation. They've been a dynamic duo ever since and can be seen hiking the Colorado trails, showcasing their amazing dance moves in the best country bars around or partaking in other shenanigans. Lindsey revived her "awkward first impression" moment to Martin and is the reason we met. She was an integral part of Martin's engagement plan and climbed Horsetooth with us, capturing our special moment and celebrating with us.

Mike Garrity

Best Man

Martin and Mike met in the back of a bus during a college trip to Saudi Arabia in 2002. The pair bonded quickly over their shared love of journalism and the city of Boston. While their reporting careers have taken them from one end of the country to the other, the two have remained close. Be it in Riyadh, Baltimore, DC or New York City (and soon-to-be Granby, Colorado) Martin and Mike enjoy nothing more than exploring new cities.

Brian Bochenek

Best Man

Martin and Brian became friends in elementary school. Nicknamed "Mister B" by Martin's dad, Brian was a fixture around the Matishak household, making countless trips to comic book shops (where the pair spent a small fortune over the years) and regularly enjoying weekends around South Haven, Michigan. Friends for nearly 30 years, Brian has been the North Star in Martin's life.

Cassie O'Connor

Officiant

We knew that the person marrying us needed to be someone very special in our lives. We couldn't have imagined asking anyone else except Molly's older sister, Cassie, who has been her rock throughout her life.
