Yes, we want to really enjoy the beauty of Colorado! Our ceremony site is a small clearing and our reception will be on a flat concrete surface. You will walk on gravel and grass at points to get to them. We will have heaters in the receptions tent, but feel free to bring a warm jacket and any change of shoes (backpacks are welcomed), as it will get quite cold once the sun goes down if you want to be outside the tent.
Fall in the mountains will be brisk and expect it to get colder as the sun goes down. While the ceremony and reception will be outside, the reception will be in a tent with heaters.
Drink lots of water! And if you're coming from a lower altitude, alcohol will hit you quicker because your blood is thinner the higher you go (science!). Altitude sickness is a real thing, so make sure you listen to your body if you feel dizzy, have a headache or feel nauseous.
While we want those indulging in alcohol to take advantage of our shuttles, you are more than welcome to drive to the ceremony and reception. There is an area that will serve as a parking lot at the base of the venue's driveway. For guests who drive you will still have to take small shuttles to get up to the venue as it is a narrow long driveway that cannot handle too many cars at once. We will provide more details as we get closer to the date.
Thanks for asking, as Molly and Martin will be quite busy getting ready. For any logistical matter the day of please contact TBD.
