FAQs

Question

I'm coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

Please see the Travel page of this website for information regarding flights and nearby hotels. We encourage you to book your accommodations as soon as possible. You will not be charged until check-in.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. We ask that men wear a suit and tie and women wear an elegant cocktail or formal dress.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We want your someone special to join us as we celebrate our special day. Your formal invitation will indicate whether we've already accounted for your significant other to attend. If your significant other was not included on your invitation and you would like them to attend, please let us know. We simply ask that you be respectful of timing and space considerations as we respond to these requests on a case-by-case basis.

Question

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

We want you to have the best time possible at our wedding, whether it be a night out to yourselves or having your child with you. Your formal invitation will indicate whether we've already accounted for your little one to attend. If your child was not included on your invitation and you would like them to attend, please let us know. We simply ask that you be respectful of timing and space considerations as we respond to these requests on a case-by-case basis.

Question

How should I get there? Is parking available?

Answer

Shuttle service will be provided from The Bethesdan Hotel to Woodend Sanctuary and Mansion. Please see the travel page of this website for additional details. Woodend also has a complimentary parking lot which will be accessible for this event.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

By request of the bride and groom, we ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony, including the processional and recessional. Our photographer will be there to capture our precious moments. While personal photos of family and friends are welcome and encouraged at the reception, we ask that you be present with us during important moments such as cutting our cake or enjoying our first dance without cameras or phones. Our photographer will capture these moments for us.

Question

I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?

Answer

If you have additional questions about our wedding, please feel free to call or text Chris: 202-860-7565 or Becca: 814-553-7743.
