It was a set-up, I tell ya! We only have Brian and Lauren Gordon to blame for our fateful demise. It was a dark New Year's Eve, 2016. Chris took one look at Becca and walked the other way. A party game of Kings, Queens, and Jack forced us to talk for the very first time (thanks, Jack...). It wasn't long after that first interaction that Chris and Becca began to realize how much they had in common. The enjoyable conversation that took place over the hours leading to midnight, however, did not diminish the growing anticipation of a possible midnight kiss. Midnight came and went and champagne was sipped, but neither Chris nor Becca seemed to want to make the first move. Finally, a grueling 30 seconds after the clock struck twelve, Chris asked Becca if she would be his midnight kiss.

It was a dark New Year's Eve, 2018. Months before, Becca had started picturing what a proposal from Chris might look like. She thought that New Years would be the perfect time (that was when they met, after all). Little did Becca know that was exactly what Chris had in mind. Chris took Becca for a beautiful anniversary dinner, and by the end of it, her finger was still empty. Surely, Becca thought, he won't propose tonight. A fun time was had by all at the annual New Years Party as the clock inched closer to midnight. The room gathered for the final countdown and, at midnight, kisses and well-wishes were made by all. It was then that Brian, a newly-wed himself, proposed a toast for all of the wonderful events of 2018 and for everything that he knew that 2019 would bring. He then gave the floor to Chris who pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. Through tear-filled words, he told Becca that she was his perfect match and asked her to marry him. She replied with an equally tear-filled "Yes!".
