Travel Note
If you’re traveling to the UK for our wedding, please note an important entry requirement. As of April 23, 2026, the UK requires most foreign visitors to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or a visa before arrival—a passport alone is no longer sufficient. An ETA is a digital authorisation linked to your passport and is generally quicker and more affordable than a traditional visa. The application costs £20 and is non-refundable. To apply, you’ll need: The passport you’ll travel with An email address A credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay A photo of the passport and the traveler’s face You can apply via the official UK ETA app (using your phone to scan your passport and face) or online. If applying for someone else, they must be with you if using the app; otherwise, you’ll need to apply online with their passport and photo. Please note: applying through other websites will not speed up your decision. We strongly recommend checking your eligibility and applying as soon as possible via the official UK government site: https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply Processing times are usually between 3-5 business days but can vary, so please don’t leave this to the last minute! Reach out to Kat or Sam if you have any questions.
Travel Note
We recommend booking all travel, transport and accommodation as far in advance as possible, including flight, rental car, private taxi and hotel stays. As your trip gets closer, we also suggest pre-booking any train tickets to ensure you have a seat on the train you want to catch. Train tickets can be purchased as one-way or return (round trip). If you have any questions, please reach out to Kat or Sam to help coordinate.
