Springkell is located near Eaglesfield in Dumfriesshire, southwest Scotland just above the border to England. It's about 6 miles from historic Gretna Green, only 2 miles from the M74, and 17 miles from Carlisle. Springkell is just over an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow and around 2 hours from Manchester. For more details on getting to the venue and other travel recommendations, please visit the Travel page.
Yes, there are accommodation options on the Springkell estate and nearby at local bed and breakfasts. Please visit the Travel page for more details.
Due to space constraints, we can only accommodate named guests on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding.
We want everyone to enjoy themselves during their stay at Springkell! If that means you need to bring the little ones along, totally okay! If that means you want to leave them behind, that's okay too. Whatever you need to do to have a good time, we can accommodate. If you have any specific questions, please reach out to Kat or Sam.
There will be an option to share any food requirements you may have when we send out the invitations. We'll be happy to answer any specific questions closer to the wedding date. We appreciate your patience.
We will have access to Springkell starting the afternoon of the day before the wedding through the morning of the day after the wedding. There will be a Welcome Reception the night before and the Wedding will start at about 1:30 p.m. on the day itself. For more info and detailed updates, please visit the Schedule page.
We’d love for everyone to dress up with us! Think suits and ties and longer dresses, something you’d wear to a nice British wedding. Since we’ll be celebrating in autumn in the Scottish countryside, we suggest bringing additional layers to keep warm. We will have full use of the grounds, so if you'd like to explore, comfortable shoes for walking on grass and gravel is recommended.
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift, so we don’t expect anything more. If you would still like to give, a contribution toward our future home or honeymoon would be deeply appreciated. Please visit the Registry page to learn more.
