This is the hotel we plan to get room blocks in for our (many) out of town guests. It is conveniently located .2 miles from where Miriam's parents live, so they will not be too far from friends and family during your stay. Flight
O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport
Chicago has two major airports: O'Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. O'Hare is much larger and closer to where we live (northwest suburbs of Chicago) so it is usually the more convenient option. However, Midway is also accessible for us, albeit a slightly longer drive. We live about thirty minutes from O'Hare by car and an hour from Midway. Honestly, public transportation from the airports to the suburbs is pretty terrible in Chicago, so contact me or Alan directly if you think you will be needing someone to pick you up, and I'm sure we can work something out.
Travel Note
Shuttle to Venue
Important note for out of town guests- if you will be visiting from out of town and therefore will not have a car, our wedding venue has a deal with the Four Points hotel where a shuttle can transport guests to and from the venue. HOWEVER, the Hyatt Regency does not have this deal. Alan and I are going to try and arrange external shuttle services from this hotel, so stay tuned!
Train
The Metra
The Metra is the best way to get to and from the Suburbs from Chicago directly. There is a Metra station in Arlington Heights (closest station to Buffalo Grove, where we live) that will take you to Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago.

This is a slightly more upscale choice for a place to stay- but they still offer great deals, especially through our block. The link is now active! Important to note: Hyatt Regency is further from our venue; approx 12 miles. There will NOT be shuttle services from this hotel unless Alan and I can arrange one externally. Updates to come.
