FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding will be semi-formal/cocktail attire. Formal gowns and tuxedos are not necessary, but we also ask that you not wear jeans.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Good question! The truth is, there's no telling. Novembers in Ohio could mean inches of snow on the ground but it could also mean 70 degrees and sunny. Our best advice to you is to check your weather app....cuz that's what we'll do!

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be held at The Reverie.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors. The venue does offer a nice patio area outside with seating and gas fire pits.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the atrium outside of the chapel where we will be serving light appetizers and beverages.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

From I-75, take exit 41 Austin Landing. Turn onto Austin Blvd. (From 75N, turn left. From 75S, turn right) After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Washington Church Rd. Southbrook Christian Church/The Reverie will be on your left. You will turn into the Church and follow signs around the parking lot for The Reverie. Be sure to come in The Reverie entrance, and not the church's main entrance.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm on November 23. We ask that you arrive no later than 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Upon arrival you will pull into Southbrook Christian Church. Follow the drive all the way around until you see parking for The Reverie. There will be signs directing you. The Reverie entrance is on the opposite side of the church building and has its own parking section, which is free!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Ooo la la! In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Sorry! Please text us with any special circumstances!

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We will have a block at the Holiday Inn Express Dayton South I-675 (7701 Washington Village Dr. Dayton Ohio (937) 938-9550). Please tell them you are booking under Blanford/Castel wedding to receive the discount rate.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

RSVP's would be appreciated on our Zola website on or before October 26 to allow us time to get a head count to our caterer.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Oh yes there will! We will have numerous charcuterie boards (meats, cheeses, dips, crackers), an open bar consisting of beer and wine, as well as a buffet style with a chicken dish, prime rib carving station, and sides along with our favorite desserts! Our main mission is to make you stuffed!

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Please let us know of any dietary restrictions ahead of time (when you RSVP preferably) so that we may pass this on to our caterer.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

All of our registry information is on our Zola website. We have various funds through Zola such as a home renovation fund and honeymoon fund, as well as an Amazon and Bed, Bath, and Beyond registry.

Question

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

The hotel has assured us that a shuttle will be available to take guests to the venue starting around 2:15 and will pick guests up at the venue starting around 10:00 that evening.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #hecastelspellonme so we can see the night through everyone’s eyes! We will also have snapchat account that we would like guests to request so that everyone may add photos and videos to our story!
