We are located in the mountains: RURAL! Please plan accordingly.
Hi, everyone! Since so many of you live in places where technology and public transportation, ride sharing and food delivery, and general daily conveniences are the norm, we thought it might be wise to remind everyone that you are traveling to a rural area. This means: minimal cell service (Lake George is the closest bigger town the closest city is Glens Falls and the next biggest is Saratoga Springs), longish but beautiful car rides to everything (Loon Lake Lodge is only a few minutes!), bringing layers and water in the car, and generally planning a bit more ahead around drinking/driving, dressing for the day to night temperature drops and variable weather, and noting that cabs or delivery services essentially don't exist unless you are incredibly patient and willing to pay expensive rates. The scenery is stunning and especially so in October. What we lack in conveniences we make up for with natural majesty, amazing air quality, wide expanses, privacy and peacefulness. Other self-directed lodging options
Since there are limited hotels in the immediate vicinity with room block availability it may make sense that some of you would prefer to find something on your own a little more conveniently located using either Airbnb/ VRBO or another travel search engine for smaller scale or niche lodging. I've put the link to a sample Airbnb search as a reference point on a map. Let us know if you need further assistance.

This is the closest lodging though quite small. We have 8 rooms (the entire place) on hold until 9/1. The rate for the night is $188 (TAX is included in this rate!). We have the rooms in the block 10/16-10-18. Please book ASAP.

This hotel is another option about 25-30 minutes away from the farm. We have a block of 9 rooms on hold available for the nights of 10/15-10/18 at $102 per night (PLUS TAX!). These are on hold until 9/1

This hotel is in Lake George village and is about 40 minutes to the Farm. We have an 8 room block at an average rate of $169 (PLUS TAX; the rate is different on different days but this is the average). These rooms are blocked for 10/16-10/18 until 9/1. Please book ASAP.
