Normal precautions apply: keep a copy of your passport on you, avoid walking alone after dark, and take a taxi after dark. Make sure you have your phone and wallet on you at all times. Petty crime is a global phenomenon.

Jalia Garden is located in Kabuga, just outside central Kigali , it's a 30-40min taxi or VW Move ride from most hotels but slightly further than it might look on a map given traffic. Please allow extra travel time and arrange your transport in advance. Your hotel can help coordinate a taxi if needed.
Plans change, we completely understand. If you need to update your RSVP, please reach out directly to one of our coordinators on WhatsApp as soon as possible: Geraldine Musinguzi: +256 707 880 358 William Kimenyi: +256 781 343 167 William Uwizeye: +250 788 300 796 Edward Kirenga: +250 783 099 700
The Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa (Serena Kigo) is located on the shores of Lake Victoria, about 20 minutes from Entebbe airport and 45 minutes from Kampala city centre, it sits between both, rather than inside either. We recommend arranging your transfer in advance as there's usually traffic on the road to the expressway. Hotel-arranged taxis, Uber and Bolt are all reliable options.
Yes! We have a discounted room block at Serena Kigo from the night of 13th August - 17th August. Single rooms are USD 165 and double rooms are USD 180, both including breakfast. Please use the direct booking link below: https://www.serenahotels.com/lake-victoria/book/dates-of-stay?groupID=5268084 Rooms are subject to availability so please don't leave it too late!
The Gusaba is taking place indoors while the Vow Exchange will happen outdoors. The reception however is indoors. August means warm, sunny Kigali and Entebbe weather. We recommend comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and light breathable clothing. A light layer for the evening is also a good idea as temperatures drop once the sun goes down.
