Best Man
Brother Dave. He's the reason for the season. The guy with a board full of pinned photos, connected by string connecting the dots, who Pepe-Silvia'd Mimi and I together. That probably doesn't make sense to most people. Sorry. Simply, I am so lucky that we met during a Tonio years ago, as now I get to have a best friend who will be my brother-in-law. Mimi and I spend so much time at his and Kathleen's house with Debbie and Nolan that I think we might as well move in. Love watching the Broncos and all the sports with you, yelling at each other during soccer, eating, drinking and just generally hanging out with ya, Davey!

Our mom always told us we had to get along because we only had each other, and damn I'm SO thankful that we do as sisters and best friends! People say we talk and sound alike, and we do honestly freak ourselves out when we both respond the same exact way to something...but sisters! We talked on the phone every day when I lived in NY, and still do now. I love it. She grounds me in every one of life’s whirlwind moments and reminds me that I am great and enough. It’s been incredible to watch her with Nolan and settle into a role she was made for. She is by far the strongest, most badass, and funniest person ever. One of my favorite memories from her wedding (besides meeting Matt) was dancing with her to Whitney Houston’s "I Wanna Dance with Somebody” - so I expect a repeat on July 10, 2020.
Best Man
I've known Nate since we were in Mrs. Tindell's class in Kindergarden. We sort of got along, though I think he ratted me out for stealing mini teddy bears once. We became really good friends in third grade, once Nate stopped cheering for the Cowboys and became an Avs and all things Colorado sports addict. I'd like to think I helped Nate make the decision to come to CSU, and I'm certain I helped him get familiar with CSU by inviting him to our Thursday night parties every week. We roomed together for 1.5 years in college, have played thousands of hours of bags and dangleballs, yelled ourselves horse doing the Ric Flair WOOOOO and travelled all across this country together, mostly to watch the Rams not win. If that's not best man worthy than what is?

It started in the middle of our street when we were 5 and we haven’t stopped hanging out since. Even though we haven’t lived in the same city in a long time, Jillian is my oldest, bestest friend. We were inseparable as little kids and now catch up over FaceTime and texts to always check in and ground each other with whatever we are going through at the time. We are always so excited to talk to each other that our conversations tend to be all over the place, but that’s just how it’s always been and always will be with us. I cannot count the number of times that we’ve laughed crying together and I love knowing that it’s never going to stop.

She's the sister of the groom and truly a person who has been with me from the very beginning. We generally got along well growing up, mostly because Megan always knew she could distract me by throwing a ball and I'd run off to play with it. It used to be that Megan was the troublemaker and protector, but those roles have shifted as we've grown. Based on where we lived, we were forced to hang out together a lot, which, minus a few fights and at least one clump of hair ripped out, was awesome and has led us to becoming especially close as adults. Most importantly, Mimi has become the sister that Megan never had (though sometimes she may have made me dress up as one). Can't wait to have her by our side on this day.
Bridesmaid
We met first thing freshman year of high school and she’s been making me laugh ever since. We spent so many nights in high school laughing and eating popcorn the only way we know how - shoving as much as possible into your mouth at once. Kara is my go to for any tv, podcast, or movie quote - and we continue to think we’re the funniest guys in the office. Kara and I traveled to Scandinavia in 2017 right after Matt and I met. We talked a lot about relationships, work, and just life all around. Kara inspired me on this trip to go for what I want in life, not what I felt like I “should” do. Forever thankful for that and the memories we made on that trip. Ready to book our next adventure lady!

Garrett and I also met during a Tonio pub crawl and became close once he moved back to Denver. I crashed on his couch a few times during my short-lived homeless period. We bonded over a proclivity for competition, music and general revelry. We've been to several adventures (and misadventures) together, including three trips to Europe, several bachelor parties and an Ultra. GJ is the giant head in almost every picture of me, so look forward to him taking his patented super-selfie at some point during the wedding. He's a great dude who is always there to chat or yell at the Broncos, unless he's working out, which he never does.

Kristen aka Krissy and I bonded in high school over a questionable party we attended together. She’ll always tell you how it is, but that is EXACTLY why I love her. She’s real and honest and loyal. Kristen was the first person to come visit me in Denver, and just ask how real Krissy is to the guy at Blue Pan Pizza in The Highlands – all she wanted was a Coors Banquet, sir! We laughed non-stop on her trip out here mainly due to our frozen wine slushie and Coors Banquet intake, but also for our Lizzo discovery and life chats. Matt and I are honored to have Post Malone’s biggest fan, and Ariana Grande’s true love, by our side.
Groomsman
Scotland and I met during college, and fully bonded during a spring break trip to San Diego. Since then we've shared a number of adventures and allegedly grown into functioning adults. If you want to know what a Shark Shot is, he's the guy to find (find the guy in the kilt, with the mild Scottish accent), as he will probably run directly to Star Bar with you and force you to take one. He's as good a friend as he is golfer, which is excellent. We both love to push each other's buttons, but it's all love. What else would you expect from a cantankerous Scot and an obnoxious Croat?

Kaitlyn asked me at the beginning of high school if she could call me Maury (since my full name is Maureen) – I said no, but we still became friends. Every weekend in high school was spent at Kaitlyn’s house followed by a delicious pancake breakfast on Sunday mornings by the in-house chef – her dad. So many memories happened at Kaitlyn’s house and I’ve been so lucky that we’re basically birthday twins. Last year was the first time in awhile that we got to celebrate our birthdays together in Cincinnati and we did it right at a karaoke bar (pictured here). Our heart to heart conversations have always been a constant and we’re each other’s Jiminy Crickets. You’ll find her on the dance floor as she’s mastered a number of different dance moves, including her ever favorite, the Bernie.

I've known Granty since college, but we got especially close once I moved back to Denver. His birthday (the Tonio Pub Crawl) is literally the spot where I first met several of my best friends for life. There's never a bad day with Grant, he always has a smile on his face and is excited to have some fun. He's also one of the most loyal and accountable people I know, great attributes for a center defensive partner in rec soccer and especially in a best friend. Looking forward to many more years of festivities, footy and fun with this guy!

Dan always wished he had the nickname DJ Felle Felle, so here you go! We met in NY when I hired him at the gallery I worked at. He was constantly running around for the gallery, but overall making my life easier because he made me stop and laugh. We quickly became friends in-and-outside of gallery life and chatted about everything on his roof or while cooking his haul of Blue Aprons that he forgot to make all week. My last night in NY was spent at Dan’s cuddling with his roommate’s cat that constantly played hard to get. Dan was in on Matt’s plan to propose while we were in NY. He used to hate hugs, but I like to think I brought him to the other side. Turns out we only have blurry pics together so here we are with Margaret - the best! You will definitely see her and Dan on the dance floor.

Simps and I met on a soccer team named Real Blackout in college, which is a pretty good metaphor for our friendship. We've been competing since, usually on the same soccer, basketball and kickball teams since (and are not allowed to play against each other in volleyball). We also took a fantastic trip to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup, which was quite the bonding experience. He's a fantastic guy who loves an Aperol Spritz almost as much as I love green chile, so make sure to cheers him during the ceremony.

Alex and I also met when I hired him to work at the gallery - let’s be honest, I was just hiring people I wanted to hang out with. Alex and I spent probably way too much time in the kitchen laughing instead of working, and continue to text randomly during our work days - a virtual kitchen perhaps? Alex genuinely listens and offers advice whenever I throw something out. I truly miss our life chats over drinks and ice cream all over NY. One of my favorite NYC days was when Alex and I wondered aimlessly after a trip to the Whitney Museum - ending in one of the best burgers of our lives. Alex was also in on Matt’s proposal and we were SO LUCKY to have him photograph it, then dance the night away with us in celebration. Margaret makes a celebrity appearance in this photo as well.
Cutest Little Nugget
He also is here entirely because of Dave and Kathleen.
