We met on Keywadin Island, Naples, on a day when I was out boating with mutual friends of ours, Curits & Aida (our matchmakers). Deputy Jay was patrolling the island that day and it so happened that Curtis saw him on the boat and sent him a text: Is that you on the river? I have someone I want you to meet. Once we got to Keywadin, Jay rode over to where we were but couldn't beach his boat because he was continuously getting dispatched. While all this was happening- I had fallen asleep while tanning on the boat and had no idea there was a plan taking place. When I woke up from my nap, I jumped onto the island to hang out with the crew. I noticed this handsome, tatted man in uniform heading in our direction. I played it cool as if I didn't notice him- but my! oh my did I! (insert heart eye emoji here) There were several people coming up to him to ask him "cop questions." I will never forget when I saw this one man come up to him to talk, Jay put his hand on his shoulder and pushed him aside. He was zeroed in on me and I thought that was the most sexiest, assertive thing I have ever had a man do for me. We chatted for a minute, and he got dispatched again so he said, "hey, well I gotta go but let me give you my number and you can text me later if you want." I took his number, texted him later that night, he joined us for dinner, and we have literally been together ever since then.
