Staying in Mount Dora will put you closest to our reception venue, while Apopka offers easy access to both the church and the reception site. We recommend booking early—especially for Mount Dora—since it’s a charming small town with limited inventory that books up quickly during event weekends. Filter for “entire place” if you want more privacy, or consider larger homes for a fun group stay with other wedding guests.

Flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO)

If you’re flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO), you’ll be about a 45–55 minute drive from most accommodations in the Mount Dora / Altamonte Springs area where our wedding festivities will take place. MCO offers the widest selection of nonstop flights and is served by all major airlines, making it the easiest option for most travelers. Once you land, you can rent a car at the airport or arrange a rideshare for the trip north. We recommend allowing a little extra travel time if you arrive during weekday rush hour.

Flying into Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB)

Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is a smaller, easy-to-navigate airport located about 35–45 minutes from the Mount Dora / Altamonte Springs area. While flight options may be more limited, it’s often a stress-free and budget-friendly choice—especially if you’re flying Allegiant. The drive from Sanford is straightforward, and you’ll skip much of Orlando’s busier highway traffic. Rental cars and ride share services are readily available on-site.

Train

Traveling by Train

For those who prefer to skip the airports, Amtrak offers a comfortable train ride. The Silver Meteor and Silver Star routes both make stops at Winter Park Station, which is about 35–40 minutes from the Mount Dora / Altamonte Springs area. The ride is scenic and relaxing, with sleeping car and dining options available. Once you arrive in Winter Park, rental cars and ride share services are available nearby to get you to your hotel.

A rental car will be the easiest way to get around during your stay, especially since our wedding events are in the Mount Dora / Altamonte Springs area—about 35–55 minutes from the airports and not directly connected by public transit. Both Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) have on-site rental car centers with all major companies, making pick-up and drop-off simple. If you’re arriving by train into Winter Park Station, there are rental car agencies nearby, though availability can be limited—so we recommend booking in advance. Tip: Orlando is a busy travel hub year-round, so reserving your car early often means better rates and more vehicle choices.
