What time should I arrive to the ceremony at Annunciation Catholic Church?
Answer
Please plan to arrive by 2:30 PM to allow time to park, find your seat, and get settled before the ceremony begins.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Cocktail formal is encouraged—dresses, jumpsuits, and suits are all welcome. Since the reception will be held in a beautiful garden setting, feel free to showcase your favorite florals! Ladies, please avoid stilettos, as the home is historic. What NOT to wear suggestions: Skip jeans, shorts, and flip flops. Check the weather (humidity is real in Florida!). The ceremony will be held in a church, so please choose attire that is respectful for the setting. Avoid white—save that for the bride;)

Please refer to your invitation. If your invite includes a guest, we’d love to have them join! If not, we hope you understand that we’re keeping things intimate.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love your little ones, but we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this gives you a chance to relax, let loose, and enjoy the evening with us. Thank you for understanding—we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

The ceremony is indoors while the reception is outdoors.

What’s the weather like in Mount Dora in April?
Answer
April is warm and pleasant, with highs in the low-to-mid 80s °F (27–29 °C) and cooler evenings in the low 60s °F (16–18 °C). Humidity is mild, and rain is rare but possible.

Will there be transportation to the venue?
Answer
There will not be organized transportation to the venues, so we kindly ask guests to plan on driving or carpooling when possible. Both Annunciation Catholic Church and Sydonie Mansion have ample parking available. There will be an hour between the ceremony and reception, giving you time to drop your car at your hotel and take a rideshare to Sydonie if you’d prefer to fully relax and enjoy the celebration.

What’s the best airport to fly into?
Answer
The best airport to fly into is Orlando International Airport (MCO) — it’s the closest major airport to Mount Dora, about a 45-minute drive. Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) is another option, a little smaller and about the same distance.

What if I have dietary restrictions?
Answer
No worries! We will be doing a buffet styled dinner so there will be plenty of options. We’ll make sure you're well-fed and happy.

Once formal invitations are sent out, please RSVP by February 20th, 2025 so we can plan all the details and save you a seat at the party!
