It’s a tale as old as time. A chance encounter in the charming outskirts of Porto, Portugal. A Slovenian girl was looking for advice about her future home in Stockholm when she met a Swedish boy. What neither of them expected was that this meeting would kick off a series of fortunate coincidences in India and Sweden later that same year, before the before the girl finally arrived in Sweden together with a snowstorm in January, 2016. The boy, ever the gentleman, picked her up at the airport and navigated through the wintery chaos to welcome her to her new home. Their journey together took a natural turn living with roommates for a few years practicing taking care of a house, traveling to more than 16 different countries, finishing one degree, and achieving an additional one, both switching career paths and discovering their passions, experiencing apartment life in a new rental, planning several iconic halloween costumes and themed parties and ticking off a major shared milestone of purchasing a house. After 6 months as homeowners, the boy finally popped the question with a comically sized balloon shaped ring. And here we are, excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives together with you!
