Bride's Best Man
Ryan and Kelly are not only siblings, but great friends. Three years apart, Kelly still remembers the day Ryan was born, waiting for him anxiously by the window on a rainy March day. Ryan's energy and zest for life was apparent from his first days; always active and eager to participate in any type of fun. Ryan's intelligence is matched only by his kind heart. He has a capacity to give that carries on from childhood into his adult life. When he is not working for student success with the Los Angeles Community College district, he is busy being super dad to Samantha and Parker, plus their three pups. Although his profession is demanding, he has not lost his ability to have fun and be that wide-eye child he started out as. Put simply, he is Kelly's hero.
Lindsey Cornner
Maid of Honor
Lindsey and Kelly have a friendship that spans 20 years and a sisterhood for the last 10, when Ryan and Lindsey were married. (Kelly prides herself on her match-making skills for this one!) They met at the Clinique make-up counter and bonded over Chris Issac and soft pretzels. Later both attend CSUN together and arranging their classes on the same day and times, as much as art and psychology majors could manage. Frequent trips to Disneyland together would reduce the stress of their college and work lives. Now as a wonderful mother to Samantha and Parker, Lindsey brings her clever sense of humor and voice of reason to her daily life and the lives of her family. She always offers her honest, caring perspective to any situation that keeps us grounded and moving forward.
Jonathan Ospina
Bridesman
Jonathan is the youngest of Kelly's brothers and is always full of surprises. He has a playful way about him but also a spiritual side. Although he is a gifted massage therapist, he is currently exploring the world of coding and beginning a new career path. His positive energy is evident in all that he does. Although they are from different generations, he and Kelly share many moments of laughs and silliness that keeps them bonded.
Jennifer Battle Clark
Groomswoman
Jen is Mike's older sister of 2 years. Growing up close in age made for a blend of comradery, sibling rivalry, loyalty, love, and laughs. Her sweetness, beauty, big heart and expressive spirit afforded her a successful social life that her introverted brother sought council in. She was his dating advisor & fashion consultant up until he digested the deconstructionist philosophy of Art School. Mike has a lot to credit Jen with when it comes to becoming the respectful, sensitive gentleman. Jen is a 6th grade Math & English Language Arts teacher of 20 years. She is the wife to Principal Bob Clark, and goofy mother to her amazing 3 kids: Jai the artist, Ella the thespian, and Johnny the artistic empath.
Christina Battle Stetson
Groomswoman
Born three years after, Christina was quickly employed as Mike's surrogate brother during their entire childhood. They were each other's boxing contender, baseball and football rival, and one-on-one basketball opponents. Although there are many asterisks on the outcomes of their matchup history, one thing is for sure, they both ended up winning in the long run. Christina is a beautiful, wonderfully-sensitive, yet secretly lionhearted woman. She's a 6th grade Science & English Language Arts teacher of 16 years; wife to her husband, Josh the engineer; and a proud, loving mother to their sons, the inquisitive Austin & Tyler the gentle giant.
Dave Battle
Best Man
Stuck in the middle of two sisters for 8 years, Mike wished for a brother so badly that he once asked his mother if they could adopt "Webster" from the 80's TV show. As luck would have it, 2 weeks before Mike's 8th birthday, Dave, was born. Dave quickly became Mike's video game sidekick/cheerleader, his home movie lead actor, & multi-sport prodigy. Although they live on opposite coasts, Mike looks forward to their annual family golf tournament, Buffalo Bills home games, and any other time they can spend together. Dave lives in Rochester, working as a project superintendent for the family construction company, Battle Construction, while developing his true passion of creating content for his online Twitch streaming channel. This past July he married his science-whiz wife, Ashley!
Matt Battle
Best Man
If Dave relates mostly to Mike's athletic side, then his 2nd brother, Matt, definitely relates most to Mike's artistic side. As early as he could, Mike tried to influence Matt with all the music knowledge he had at the time. Although Matt showed early, similar interests in music and Jim Carrey movies, being 10 years apart meant that they really didn't start getting to know each other until Matt moved to LA after high school. Since then Mike and Matt have lived together, worked together on "The Simpsons Movie" and TV show. Matt's true passion is writing and recording music. Check out his recent project "Gold Koa," in collaboration with his lovely girlfriend/bassist, Kamara.
Karen Ospina
Mother of the Bride
Kelly's mom, Karen, will make you feel like you have known her your whole life. She will welcome you with open arms and make you feel comfortable. She is a recently retired school teacher, with a career that lasted over 20 years. This explains how patient she can be. She and Kelly have a close relationship and share an interest in fashion and true crime stories. They spend time together whenever they can catching up over a cup of coffee or a meal at Follow Your Heart vegan cafe. Karen has recently re-ignited her love of dance and has starting taking tap dance classes in her free time.
Mike Cornner
Father of the Bride
Mike is an avid golfer with a true passion for the game. He works to perfect his skills on the course several times a week. He recently travelled to Scotland to play the St. Andrew's course and has plans to return in the future. A former journalist and professor of media arts, Mike exposed Kelly to classic films and developed in her a love of photography that spans generations in the Cornner family. Mike recalls taking Kelly to the darkroom at such a young age, she could hardly see over the edge of the trays to watch the photos develop. Since then, he has been a great mentor to Kelly in her 10-year stent as a photography teacher.
Susan Cornner
Mother of the Bride
Susan is Kelly's second mom. She has been in her life since Kelly was 5 years old, so she had an important role in her up-bringing. Susan and Kelly share a spirit of activism and a love of Oscar Wilde. She is an opened minded scholar who is full of surprises. For a recent birthday, she asked Kelly to take her to get her first tattoo. A retired English professor, Susan exposed our blended family to literature, arts and culture and travel. When she and her husband, Mike, are not traveling, Susan may be found practicing her cello for a performance in the local Topanga Symphony.
Roseann Battle
Mother of the Groom
Meet the most thoughtful, caring, and giving person Mike has ever come to know. Kelly being a close 2nd, Mike's mother is such a beautiful, supportive and modest role model. She's also been his crafting sensai for as far back as Mike can remember, and he's always enjoyed aiding in her little projects while sharing a mutual love for creating. She is a craft wizard. There isn't anything she can't do or willing to try. Roseann has been a medical secretary for the past 25 years. She especially enjoys baking, sewing, and spending time with her 5 grandkids.
Steve Battle
Father of the Groom
No one has taught Mike more than his father. Always leading by example, Steve has shown Mike and his siblings how to be strong, yet gentle people; to be confident, yet humble; to excel while sharing with others; and most especially, not only be in touch with one's feelings, but to embrace and express them openly. Basically, if you see Mike tearing up on wedding day, it's entirely Steve's fault! Steve is the Vice President of the family construction company. He enjoys slapstick comedy, golf, fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with his family.
Austin Stetson

Austin is a sweet, fun, curious and adventurous boy. With the mind of a little scientist, he’s always full of wonderment and loves learning about everything. He especially likes to study bugs, the stars, fires, listening to instrumental score music (just like his Uncle Mike) and always appreciates a good fart sound!
