Please arrive at 415. The ceremony will begin promptly at 430. If you arrive earlier than 415, you may be asked to wait outside of the venue until doors open.
There is no parking for guests provided by the venue. We highly recommend either walking (~10 minute walk from the hotel block) or taking an Uber/Lyft to the venue. The venue has a lot with limited spaces that can be paid for by the hour, if needed.
Usually, temperatures are in the 70s to mid-80s. Afternoons will still feel warm. Restaurants and museums can be over-air conditioned, so we recommend bringing a light sweater for layering. New Orleans weather can be unpredictable, so it is a good idea to check the weather a few days before you travel.
The ceremony and reception will be primarily outdoors in the courtyard. If it rains, we will have a tent.
Yes - it is about a 10 minute walk.
New Orleans is a relatively small city with readily available Uber/Lyft at a decent price almost all hours of the day. Parking can be difficult if you are staying in the French Quarter/Downtown. Unless you need car seats for your kids or are planning to adventure outside of the city, we would not recommend renting a car.
Hotel information is in the Travel section of our website. Click the "View" button under New Orleans Marriott to book a room in our block.
Wear something fabulous, and don't forget your dancing shoes! Fun and Funky Cocktail - Been dying to whip out that fun pocket square or bold patterned dress? This is your moment. We highly recommend wearing shoes that are good for walking several blocks and dancing!
A second line parade is traditional for New Orleans weddings. The newly married couple and the brass band take the lead - this is called the "first line". The "second-line" follows and consists of the wedding guests, who are invited to walk, dance, and wave a handkerchief. It is a celebration of the new life the couple is about to embark on. Directly after the ceremony, we invite all guests to jump out of their seats, wave their handkerchiefs, and follow us through the French Quarter to celebrate!
We will have some pedi-cabs available to follow along with the second line for those who would prefer to ride.
New Orleans has a ton of awesome night life options, and although Bourbon Street is probably the most famous (infamous), in our opinion, it is far from the best. Think of it as New Orleans' version of Times Square - walk down it quickly to get a look and spend your time elsewhere. Frenchman Street is a great alternative - it is less touristy and has some great live music.
Yes! The Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival takes place that Friday to Sunday. It is a free festival with great food and music options, located in Lafayette Square, just 10 minutes from the hotel block.
We are so excited that many of our guests will be experiencing one of our favorite places for the first time. Please check out the Thing To Do tab at the top of this page to see a list of some fun activities and great places to eat.
We highly encourage all guests to have their updated COVID vaccine and their annual flu shot. Due to increased cases of COVID recently, we also recommend that our guests wear masks when in airports/flying. We are so looking forward to spending time with everyone, but we ask anyone who is feeling sick to please stay home.
