We got engaged here! We do an annual hike of "The Royal Arch" trail, and Mike popped the question when we stopped for a rest. The hike is difficult, but wandering around the park seeing the flatirons is just as beautiful.

Chautauqua Park

Red Rocks is a close and easy park to wander around, do a little hike, check out the amphitheater. It's a beautiful area!

If you're looking for a moderate hike without driving far into the mountains but with mountain and city views, this is a good close one.

If you're looking for a city vibe, take the train to Union Station and make your way to the Milk Market downtown. There's shopping, food, breweries, wineries, all in the urban jungle.

Take a drive up Lookout Mountain for views of the Colorado Front Range and the Denver Skyline. No hiking required!
