FAQs

Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

While we love your children, the ceremony and reception will be an adults-only celebration, to allow all wedding guests to relax and enjoy themselves. If you will be traveling from out of state, please feel free to bring your children and we can help arrange childcare services for the night of the wedding. Children are welcome at the pre-wedding dinner and the morning after brunch!

Question

Can I take photos and video during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that you join us for an unplugged ceremony, meaning no phones or cameras out during the ceremony. We've hired a wonderful photographer to capture every special moment, and we’d love for you to simply be present with us as we say “I do.” Thank you for understanding!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception, cocktail attire is recommended. Dresses or dressy jumpsuits for the ladies, suits or jackets and slacks for the guys. For the pre-wedding dinner and post-wedding brunch - whatever your heart desires, there's no dress code for those!

Question

How do I get from the hotel to the wedding?

Answer

We have arranged for a yellow school bus to shuttle hotel guests from the hotel to the wedding. The bus will arrive at the hotel Friday at 5pm, and will depart promptly at 5:15pm. If you miss the shuttle please order an Uber or Lyft, or you can drive and leave your car overnight and pick it up before 10am Saturday. The shuttle will leave the Pines to go back to the hotel every half hour starting at 9pm. So 9, 9:30, 10, 10:30, 11, 11:30, then the last one will leave at 12:15am.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

For the wedding weekend activities alone - no. We've arranged a shuttle to go to and from the hotel and the wedding, and the hotel is accessible from the airport and downtown Denver by public transportation. Uber & Lyft are also readily available. If you'd like to explore in the mountains then a car is recommended.

Question

What should I know about the elevation?

Answer

Denver is the mile-high city, and if you are coming from sea-level, you must hydrate! It may take a day or two to acclimate to the elevation, but the most important thing is to hydrate, especially if you'll be partaking in the open bar at the wedding. Also be sure to pack lotion and lip balm - it's dry here!

Question

The wedding is in June, won't it be hot?

Answer

Probably! The good news is the ceremony space is covered by (pine) trees so everyone *should* be in the shade. No sitting out in the sweltering sun! And the cocktail hour and reception will be inside in the AC. The venue is also on the way up to the mountains and higher in elevation so it should be a little cooler than in Denver.

Question

How and When Do I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request everyone RSVP on our wedding website by no later than Friday, May 15th. You will also have the ability to RSVP for the pre-wedding dinner, and post-wedding brunch.
