Where is your registry?
Answer
Because we are entering our shared life from two separate apartments, we don't need many more household items! We also recognize that many people will be traveling from far distances to attend our wedding. We appreciate the sacrifices you will be making just to come, and your presence alone is truly the best thing we could ask for! Please do not feel awkward, guilty, etc and just take us at our word that we don't want gifts! If you would like to bring a physical card, we will have a place to leave them at our wedding venue :) In lieu of a registry or newlywed fund, we are listing some charitable organizations that we support and feel passionately about in case you would like to make a contribution! Again, this is totally optional!!! Asian Americans Advancing Justice: https://www.advancingjustice-aajc.org/ Aiding refugees, recent immigrants, and empowering youth with programming around voting, naturalization, and standing against violence, racism, and xenophobia directed towards Asian Americans. Is there a dress code?
Answer
If you'd like some ideas, you can look up "cocktail attire," but feel free to go a little more casual or dressy. We want you to be comfortable and confident and to have fun! You should be fine as long as you aren't wearing shorts, running gear, or tennis shoes, which coincidentally is all that Mike wore during the first five years of us dating.
Question
When should I RSVP by?
Answer
The earlier the better! Please RSVP by February 14th so that we can make sure that we have the right headcounts for our vendors! Please make sure to book your hotel/Airbnbs as far ahead as you are able to. We intentionally picked our wedding date so it wouldn't interfere with local events like college graduations in the city, but sometimes hotels get booked with convention center events that might drive prices up as the date approaches.
Question
I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, please contact Mike or Kaitlin about dietary restrictions! You will be able to signify if you are vegan/vegetarian or have a nut allergy when you RSVP. But message us for other restrictions you may have. We will also have Lactaid available for guests… :)
