Considering the uncertainty arising from the ongoing pandemic and as your health/safety is our top priority, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding celebration. Jhonny and Migui met at a mutual friend's birthday celebration (she will take all the credit for them meeting!). As Migui would put it, he came into her life when she least expected it. Jhonny was very persistent and patient (a quality he didn't even know he had) and finally, persuaded Migui to a sushi date. One date turned to many and well, the rest is history. In their five years, they have travelled many countries together, gone on countless adventures and watched many sports games (sometimes unwillingly). They are both very excited for this next big adventure in 2021!

Migui thought she was planning a day tour to a popular vineyard in Mendoza, Argentina (because that is what you do in the wine capital of South America). Little did she know that he had already visited and scheduled everything…for a guy that doesn’t like to plan. After the tour at Finca Decero Winery, Jhonny asked the group (his brothers and niece had accompanied them) if they wanted to take a stroll by the lake. Of course Migui said yes as she wanted a picture for the gram (duh)! Migui noticed he was acting weird and a bit nervous, however, Jhonny insists he was cool as a cucumber. Nevertheless, she was also preoccupied with finding a good pose/ angle for the picture. When she turned around from the typical “prom pose”, he was on his knee and saying things that were neither in English nor Spanish as he placed the ring in the wrong hand. Migui’s only vivid recollection was their niece, Katalia, saying “what the what the, titi always wanted a ring”. Migui said yes many many times and then they drank a lot of wine to celebrate with the family!
