Located in Blanes, in Costa Brava, the Marimurtra Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful gardens on the Mediterranean. It also happens to be the venue of our wedding ceremony :) At the top of steep cliffs running along the sea, you can enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views over the coastline and get to know more than four thousand plant species, most of them exotic, as well as several specimens that are extraordinary because of their age or size. Open: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
This is the one of the most distinctive symbols of Blanes. The castell was built in the 13th century and its perfect location turned this building into a strategic point for defending the city back in the day. It also offers stunning panoramic views of Blanes! Open: 6:00 am - 11:00 pm
If you're looking to extend your trip in the Costa Brava Region, we recommend checking out Girona! Fun fact: Michelle went here on a school trip in 2018. 40-minute drive from Blanes- stroll through its historic Jewish Quarter, admire the Cathedral (where Game of Thrones was filmed!) and walk along the colorful houses lining the Onyar River.
Sitges is a picturesque coastal town near Barcelona on the WEST side (opposite direction from Blanes), renowned for its beautiful beaches, vibrant cultural scene, historic charm, and inclusive atmosphere, particularly for the LGBTQ+ community. It offers a mix of art, festivals, nightlife, and Mediterranean beauty. We did our engagement photoshoot here - such a cute town. Highly recommend!
