What are the ways to get from Barcelona to Blanes?

Answer

You can get to Barcelona to Blanes by Car, Train, or Shuttle. The drive by car will take approximately 1 hour. Taxi (130-170 euros), Rental Car (20-30 euros per day) . For more information on rental cars, please see travel section. The train from Barcelona-Clot-Aragó station will take approximately 1H 20 and and cost less than 8 euros. For more information on the train, please see travel section. We will also offer 1 shuttle on Sept 6 at 2pm, leaving from Barcelona city center to take guests to Blanes. There will also be a returning shuttle on September 8 at 3pm to come back to Barcelona.

What are transportation options in Blanes?

Answer

Blanes is a very small, walkable town. You can navigate the entire downtown by foot (and it is encouraged!) There are taxis available if you you choose to take a day trip or need to leave the celebrations early to head back to the hotel. To call a taxi, you can call +34972.35.50.50 / +34972.35.27.20 or head to the taxi round at Placa de Catalunya (3 minutes walk from Horitzo Hotel)

Are all activities in the same location?

Answer

The day before event will be at a resort in Lloret de Mar. The wedding ceremony & reception, and day after events will all be held in Blanes, but in different venues. Please check the schedule section for venues and exact addresses. We will be providing shuttles to and from the day before and wedding day events. The day after boat cruise is within walking distance from the hotel.

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

We encourage you to book a room at Hotel Hortizo via booking.com. This is the preferred hotel, although we do not have an official room block. This is due to the fact that the prices are better when booking individually versus through a room block. Please check the travel section for more details.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love kids, we prefer if you leave your children at home for the wedding ceremony and reception. Kids are welcome at the day before and day after events. Should you need nanny services, please reach out to Michelle and Ivor directly and we will be happy to put you in touch with some recommendations.

When is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

The official RSVP deadline is July 1, 2025, but we would appreciate hearing from you as soon as you have your decision on whether you can attend. It is super important that we hear from you so that we can provide the best experience for the event! To RSVP, please fill out the questionnaire in the RSVP section on the wedding website.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

All invited guests will be listed on your invitation. If a plus one is not listed on your invitation, unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate them. Thanks so much for understanding!

What is the dress code?

Answer

Please see the dress code section for inspiration pictures and examples Day Before BEACH COCKTAIL: Elegant and Relaxed. Linen, lightweight button downs, colorful maxi dresses, and chic sandals Wedding Ceremony and Reception BLACK TIE OPTIONAL: Bright, sophisticated, and airy. Tuxes and gowns are preferred, but not required. Day After CASUAL/SWIMSUITS: Anything goes, from swimsuits, sundresses and sandals to shorts and tees.

No! We will both be keeping our last names.
