Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our reception will be adults-only so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate your understanding! If you wish to bring your kids to the ceremony, please let us know ahead of time. We've added this as an RSVP question to help with logistics.

Are plus ones or additional family members allowed to come to the wedding reception?

We kindly ask that only the invited guests attend our wedding reception. Thank you for understanding!

How far is the ceremony from Charlotte?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place ~30-40 minutes outside of Charlotte in Lake Wylie, SC. Please plan for travel time and potential weekend traffic - we recommend leaving a little early to ensure a smooth (and stress-free!) arrival.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided to/from venues. Guests are welcome to drive, carpool, or use a ride-share app like Uber or Lyft.

Is there parking at the venues?

Answer

For the ceremony, there is plenty of free parking available at the church. Since it's about 30-40 minutes from Charlotte, we recommend driving/carpooling if possible. For the reception, there is limited parking available in the Atherton Mill parking lot and garage. Street and public garage options are also nearby, though fees, availability and limitations may vary. We recommend using a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft so you can fully enjoy the evening!

What happens if it rains during the reception?

Our reception will be held at Trolley Barn Fermentory & Food Hall, where we'll have the upstairs mezzanine and downstairs outdoor patio reserved for our celebration. In the event of rain, the set-up will adjust slightly, but the celebration will remain at the same location - rain or shine!

What should I wear?

Answer

Ceremony and Reception: Cocktail attire - cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or jackets and slacks. Tip: The ceremony and reception are in different locations, so plan for comfort and travel between venues.

What should we do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There will be a few hours between events, giving everyone time to rest, freshen up, or explore Charlotte. Check out our "Things To Do" section for our favorite local spots to grab a drink, coffee, or a quick snack (ahead of cocktail hour and dinner)!
