Flight
Osaka Itami Airport (ITM) or Kansai International Airport (KIX)
We recommend flying into ITM as the distance to Kyoto is shorter. Both airports have public transportation to Kyoto Station, or you can arrange for a shared/private taxi yourself or through your hotel. A convenient service for arranging a car is NearMe (link below). Alternatively, you can fly into Tokyo (Haneda "HND" or Narita "NRT"), and take the Shinkansen bullet train to Kyoto station. We would recommend this if you wanted to spend some time in Tokyo before/after.
