Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
Dress code is semi-formal/garden party attire. Think cocktail, midi, or long dresses or dressy jumpsuits for women, and suits or dress shirts with slacks for men. Feel free to embrace color and floral patterns - the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors! The ceremony will take place on grass, so please keep that in mind when selecting shoes.

Are you providing transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
We are offering school bus shuttles to/from the wedding. There will be two buses - that goes between the Residence Inn Charlottesville Downtown and the venue and the other that goes between Staybridge Suites Charlottesville Airport by IHG and the venue. The two school buses will arrive at the hotels at 4pm. They will leave promptly at 4:10pm, so please make sure you get there on time! The two school buses will then leave the venue to return to the hotels at 10:30pm following the end of the reception.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please plan to arrive around 4:30-4:45pm so you can find your set and settle in before the ceremony begins. We will be starting the ceremony promptly at 5pm!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, complimentary parking is available at the venue. You are not able to leave cars overnight, so please take that into account in your plans!

Can I get an Uber between the hotels and the venue?
Answer
While Ubers are quite common in downtown Charlottesville, they are hit or miss by our wedding venue (which is ~15-20 min from downtown). So, it's possible you may get an Uber from our venue back to downtown, but if you'd like to guarantee transportation, please RSVP for the shuttle bus.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes! We'll be having a "field day" event on Sunday at a park on UVA's campus. See the "Wedding Weekend Schedule" tab for more details.

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests who are named on the invitation. These guests will also be named during the RSVP process. Thank you for understanding - we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
We've reserved blocks of rooms at two hotels: Residence Inn Charlottesville Downtown and Staybridge Suites Charlottesville Airport by IHG. See the "Travel" tab for booking details. The shuttle bus will pick up and drop off at these locations. However, you are welcome to stay wherever you would like! There are lots of hotels and Airbnbs in the area. Since this is Memorial Day weekend (and also happens to correspond with a lacrosse tournament in the area), we definitely recommend booking your accommodations sooner rather than later!

Answer
You will be able to select from a chicken, seafood, and vegetarian/vegan option during the RSVP process. If you have any other food allergies / dietary restrictions you'd like us to know about, please indicate that in your response, or feel free to reach out to Sara/Michael.
