Our Story

A hauntingly beautiful tale of love and life, 'til death do us part

From humble beginnings to happily ever after, we are thrilled to share our journey to the altar! The long and winding road began the day after Thanksgiving 2021, where a simple swipe right on Tinder turned into a first date a few weeks later over dim sum and dazzling displays at the Philadelphia art museum. A few weeks later on January 21st, we decided to make it official! Despite some rocky bumps that first year like long searches and even longer commutes for jobs, a grueling final slog to a masters degree graduation, miscommunications and money troubles, medical issues, awkward first impressions with friends and family, and some mourning for loved ones lost; we found a way to weather the rough times and find the joy and compassion in the simple acts of being present with each other and supporting one another no matter the cost. After all, it is said you don't truly know a person until you've seen them sick, grieving, and broke. After a year and a half dating, we decided to take the next step (and save our sanity on work commutes) by moving in together, relocating just across the state line to an apartment in nearby Wilmington that quickly became home. Since then, we've been fortunate enough to enjoy a life filled with laughter, leisure, love, and just enough la vida loca to keep things spicy and exciting. Whether it is spending time down the shore in Sea Isle or flying out to Florida, weekend adventures in pet sitting or conventions, or our simple nightly routine of watching Dropout shows or playing a round of our favorite games like Ticket to Ride; we are in love with not just each other but the life we have built. We also want to acknowledge all our loved ones who have helped us build this foundation; our relationship would not be possible without all the encouragement, support, and (sometimes brutal, but) honest and caring advice and guidance you have shown us in this journey; we look forward to many more years of building this home with your help <3 To that, we look forward to many more adventures while keeping up with traditions near and dear to our heart; trips to Disney, Christmas morning in the second-floor study, theater shows at both Broadway and Stagecrafters, and Mel Brooks movies just to name a few. Our lives have only been enriched with the other's presence, and our hope is to continue to grow as both unique individuals and as a unit together. Whether it is conquering another health scare that lands one of us in hospital, or sharing in the success of a new professional venture, everything we do is done with the other in mind, knowing we are never truly alone so long as we have each other. We are so happy to share our love with all of you and wish that everyone can see what we see in one another. Thank you for all that you do!
