Based on the original Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, NM, this Denver edition is so much fun! It's an interactive, art themed adventure and also includes hidden challenges and puzzles. Fun for all ages!
A very fun and quintessential Colorado favorite! Only a short drive 25 minute drive from Denver, tour the first Coors brewery and see where they actually collect water from the mountain streams to make their beers. The tour is about 30 minutes, is free of charge, and includes free tastings.
September is one of the most beautiful times to hike in Colorado. Kenosha Pass, part of the Colorado Trail, is beautiful this time of year! It's a little over an hour drive from Denver and the trailhead is very easy to find. You can make the hike as short or long as your wish and the endless aspens will take your breath away!
If you're looking for a moderate 6 mile hike to a beautiful alpine lake, we recommend Herman Gulch. It's a little over 1 hour away from Denver, has a huge parking lot, is very well marked, and ends at a lake surrounded by mountains. If you want something more challenging, continue past the lake and you can hike to the top of the Continental Divide! If you are hiking up to the Continental Divide, please start early in the morning as afternoon thunderstorms can roll in unexpectedly.
The world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater is a very short drive from Denver. Hike the trail around the amphitheater, run up and down the stairs for fitness, catch a concert or Film on the Rocks in the evening, or just tour the beautiful area!
Catch a Rockies game at Coors Field! This is a very fun area with lots of great bars, breweries, and restaurants. We recommend Wynkoop Brewery, First Draft, 10 Barrel Brewery (originated in Oregon) or Voicebox Karaoke RiNo.
If you want a scenic drive through the mountains to enjoy the Aspens, we recommend Guanella Pass. About a 1 hour drive from Denver, this drive will take you through roads lined with Aspens. At the top of the pass is a parking lot where you can snap some beautiful photos. No hiking required!
Looking to stay in the city? Stroll (or take the free shuttle) down the 16th Street Mall. No cars are allowed and the street is lined with businesses. Head towards Larimer Square to find even more fun places to wine and dine!
